So, a hosepipe ban gets announced and the inevitable happens, it rains and rains and rains. Irony at it's very best. This seems to happen with every drought.
But true to it's description, April has seen an untold amount of rain, together with a bit of thunder and hail thrown in for good measure and is most certainly the wettest April I can remember in a long time.
This time last year, the heating was off, the maxi dresses were out and my feet were seeing daylight for the first time since Winter. It was scorching.
All I can hope is that this year we get the seasons the way they're meant to be, as they seem to have lived up to their reputation so far. So let's hope that it starts to warm up just a little in May and then a nice hot summer to remember.
